We welcomed a Chinese delegation of gaming companies and civic partners visiting the city region.

The visit was facilitated by Liverpool Combined Authority alongside Mi Tang from Liverpool City Council and Marek Smagala from Liverpool Games Network.

The delegation was visiting Liverpool, keen to make connections within the local gaming industry and Chinese community for import/export.

Jo and Tom from our team shared the story of the Baltic Creative CIC development with the delegation and offered them a tour of the facilities before introducing them to gaming tenants Milky Tea, one of the longest-standing gaming businesses in our community, and Skyhook Games, who demonstrated one of their game developments around lawn mowing to the visitors.

This week, Baltic Creative tenant Milap presents two shows at The Music Room at Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

Acclaimed Carnatic flautist Flute J.A.Jayant will perform with outstanding percussionists R N Prakash and Kousic Sen on Thursday, June 25th, and the following evening, it’s Ranjana Ghatak presents Songs of the Luminous Heart.

Founded in Liverpool in 1985, Milap is the UK's leading Indian arts and culture company, and this year celebrates 40 years of inspiring audiences through music, dance, education and artist development.

Its work includes national programmes such as SAMYO, one of only 15 National Youth Music Organisations in the UK, as well as a year-round programme of performances and cultural experiences.

We wish the team every success for the performances this week and are proud to have them as part of the Baltic Creative community.

June’s Baltic Brew session was a brilliant way to get Baltic Creative tenants together over coffee (and pastries 😋).

Congratulations to Baltic Creative tenants Liverpool Biennial, who won the coveted International Reach Award at the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Culture & Creativity Awards 2026 🏆

The award recognises the impact culture and creativity have on strengthening international relationships, and it's a fitting nod to the work Liverpool Biennial puts into bringing global art and audiences to the city region.

A shoutout, too, for another tenant, Liverpool Sound City, who were finalists in four categories: People's Choice Award, Live Event of the Year, International Reach Award, and Creative/Media Organisation of the Year.

Liverpool Biennial and Sound City are two brilliant examples of the calibre of organisations based right here at Baltic Creative, and we couldn’t be prouder to have them in our community.

Say hello to Jo Austin Greer, our new Head of Communications & Partnerships 👋

Jo brings a wealth of experience to the role - she's run her own marketing consultancy, supporting a range of charities and non-profits, and has a background in arts and enterprise. Many of you will know her from her 13 years as Head of Engagement & Marketing at the Women's Org.

In her new role, Jo will be looking after our events calendar, the Bloom programme, health and wellbeing activity, and our marketing and comms, as well as building on our partnerships with universities, education providers, public sector organisations and visiting delegations.

If you spot Jo around the Baltic, do go and say hello ☺️

We recently welcomed a travelling delegation from India, brought to us by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as part of their regional visit during London Tech Week.

The group featured founders and CEOs from Xcubated Business Solutions, TRooTech Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and TECHVED Consulting. They were coordinated by Gita Krishnankutty, Director of Inward Investment for Southern & Eastern India at the British Deputy High Commission in Bengaluru, and came to learn about Baltic Creative, how we work, and what we offer the businesses here.

There were some great conversations, with one business already having a presence in Liverpool and some of the other delegates exploring opportunities in the Liverpool City Region.

We loved showing them around and sharing what makes this place so special ☺️

Agent’s big year continues, as they took home Bronze in the Campaign of the Year category at the Local Government Chronicle Awards 🥉

Their ‘It’s not a game, boy’ campaign with Greater Manchester Combined Authority tackled coercive and controlling behaviour across the region, and it's brilliant to see that work recognised on a national stage, especially against over 100 entries.

Did you know we encourage street art across our estate? That’s why the Baltic is home to so many colourful and powerful pieces 🎨

There’s everything from the iconic Liver Birds that we’re fairly sure 90% of locals and visitors have pictures in front of, to the Levi Tafari tribute and so much more.

Our exhibition space in The Shed also continues to support the local artist community with a regular programme of events.
