Thank you to all our volunteers that came along to help out this week ❤️

Job Opportunity!
Are you someone who loves bringing people together, turning ideas into action and creating opportunities that make a real difference?

Community Enterprise Development Coordinator (Repair Café Pilot)
Closing date: 12 noon on 10 August 2026.

Pay: From £32,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience

Where: Huyton based with events across Knowsley

Hours: 16 hours per week (averaged over the 6-months & inc. occasional evening or weekend work)

We're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and enterprising individual to lead an exciting new pilot exploring how community enterprise can transform lives. Using a Repair Café concept as the starting point, you'll work alongside clients, volunteers, local businesses and community organisations to build partnerships, uncover hidden skills, test new ideas and help shape a sustainable future for SHARe Knowsley.

This is a unique opportunity to take an idea from concept to reality. You'll coordinate pop-up events, engage the local community, champion volunteering, and gather the evidence needed to determine whether this could become a thriving long-term community enterprise. Along the way, you'll help people develop skills, confidence and pathways into volunteering and employment.

Are you interested…here’s how to apply:
1. Read the Job Description and Person Specification, available to download from our website www.shareknowsley.org.uk or by contacting the office on 07915 252300.
2. Write a covering letter (no more than two sides of A4) explaining how your experience, skills and knowledge meet each of the nine essential criteria in the Person Specification. Please provide examples wherever possible.
3. Email your covering letter and CV to [email protected], clearly marked: “Application – Community Enterprise Development Coordinator”
4. Closing date: 12 noon on 10 August 2026.
5. Interviews: Thursday 13 August 2026 (in Huyton). If you are unavailable on this date, please call ASAP.

Donations are an huge function of how we support our clients. Many of our clients arrive with only what they are wearing, an important part of being able to rebuild their lives is having access to affordable clothing and household items.

See the slides to find out what we currently need for our clients and their families. (Please note we do not need formal wear or party wear.)

If you can donate then please get in touch, or drop items at: The Old School House Community Project, St Johns Road, Huyton, L36 0UX ❤️

Recently we had our annual away day, and what a lovely day it was 🌞❤️
This year we had a mix of trustees, staff and members of our Experts by Experience Group attending. We discussed what SHARe has achieved in the year since our last away day, how best to support everyone linked to the service and looked a little bit at what the future could hold for SHARe for the next year!

Recently we held a Refugee Week BBQ, to celebrate our clients! 🧡
We had lots of amazing food from different countries, held a mini netball tournament, had different dancing styles shared and enjoyed the great weather 🍗🍲🥗🥙🏀🌞

Thank you to everyone who contributed to such a wonderful day with food, drinks, smiles and themselves! Especially the chef on the BBQs!! 👨‍🍳
