โ ๏ธ IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO PARENTS & CARERS โ ๏ธ
We are asking for your support regarding ongoing incidents at the Rhys Jones Foundation Community Centre and pitches.
Over recent weeks, children and young people have been gaining access to the pitches and premises when the centre is closed, including entering through the rear of the site. Unfortunately, this is resulting in damage to the pitches and surrounding areas.
The charity has recently invested in CCTV coverage across the site and all activity is being recorded. If these incidents continue, we will have no option but to contact parents directly where individuals can be identified.
We want to avoid involving the police, but we need everyone to understand that entering the site when it is closed is trespassing.
The Rhys Jones Foundation has full
responsibility for this land, building and pitches.
This is not a council-run public facility.
Every repair, maintenance cost and improvement comes directly from the charity's limited funds โ money that should be spent supporting our community, children, young people and families.
We regularly open our facilities and activities to local children and young people, and we want to continue doing so.
However, we cannot continue to absorb the cost of repairing damage caused when the site is being used without permission.
If the centre is closed, the pitches and premises are off limits.
Please take a moment to speak to your children and remind them to respect the facility and the work that goes into maintaining it for everyone's benefit.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
