Love Drumming CIC × Merseyside International Caribbean Carnival Arts Academy

Today we gather beneath a changing sky.

As the Sun, Moon and Earth move into alignment, we invite you into a special evening of West African drumming, African & Caribbean ritual movement, food and community at the African Caribbean Centre.

We will explore the eclipse not simply as something to watch, but as a doorway into an ancient human conversation with darkness and light, endings and beginnings, balance and transformation.

Through Drum we call,

Community Update

We want to make our community aware that there was an incident near the grounds of the African Caribbean Centre yesterday, while the Centre itself was closed.

At this point, we are still waiting to understand the full details. We do not want to encourage speculation, but we do believe it is important that our community hears from us directly.

We are cooperating to establish the facts and will provide a further update when we are in a position to do so.

Join us for a new 6-week programme exploring Luo wedding dances and the wedding traditions of Kenya through drumming, movement, cultural learning and shared meal.

Learn the purpose of the rhythms, the meaning of the dances, and the cultural traditions behind the ceremony, all leading to an exciting and dynamic final performance at an actual wedding inspired by Luo traditions.
