Community Update

We want to make our community aware that there was an incident near the grounds of the African Caribbean Centre yesterday, while the Centre itself was closed.

At this point, we are still waiting to understand the full details. We do not want to encourage speculation, but we do believe it is important that our community hears from us directly.

We are cooperating to establish the facts and will provide a further update when we are in a position to do so.

Our thoughts remain with Lain’s family, friends and our community whilst they prepare for the funeral of young Lain tomorrow.

Fun and Engaging Team Activities!!

We are saddened to acknowledge the passing of our friend, member and volunteer of the African Caribbean Centre , Ray Abdul.

Ray was an absolute pleasure to be around, he was all hands on deck, he would help with anything, always stayed positive and advocated for opportunities for the centre all the time, especially when film productions would be in town. He was a valuable part of our group.

Ray has friendships with some of our members spanning over 40 years, they hold fond memories with Ray and he will be truly missed by us all.

We all send our love and prayers to Sue and the whole family.

For those who would like to pay respects, his funeral will be held at St Anne’s on 25th March 11am.

Rest peacefully Ray. And Thank you.
