✨ It's Volunteers' Week – a chance to shine a spotlight on the incredible generosity of volunteers.

We are fortunate to work alongside 230 active Visiting Volunteers. These volunteers are local Freemasons or their family members who visit applicants at home to help navigate our grant processes, fill out paperwork, and offer advice on available support.

May 8th marks one year since Pope Leo XIV was elected Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church. Instead of remaining in Rome for the anniversary, the Holy Father will make another apostolic visit — traveling to Pompeii and Naples. The trip coincides with the Feast Day of Our Lady of Pompeii and includes a visit to the Pontifical Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary, prayer at the Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary, meetings with clergy and the faithful, and a visit to the Basilica of St. Francis of Paola before ending with an act of entrustment to the Virgin Mary and a blessing:

We're shining a spotlight on Mothers for Mothers, a charity we supported with a grant of £15,000 on behalf of [add Bristol Freemasons tag], for their incredible work in supporting mothers experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties.

We were proud to hear that their 45th anniversary report, This Is Our Truth: A Grassroots Call to Reimagine Perinatal Mental Health Care, was launched at the House of Commons earlier this year.

We recently shared the details of the Stop the Bleed campaign, which is a Nottinghamshire partnership featuring Nottinghamshire Freemasons, ATTFE College, CPTED-UK Ltd, and citizenAID, aiming to equip the public with life-saving hemorrhage control skills.

We supported this incredible campaign with a recent grant of £39,065.

Earlier this month, Nottinghamshire Freemasons stood proudly at the UK’s first Stop the Bleed conference in Newark, championing action, unity, and life-saving skills.

At Castle House, alongside the powerful Knife Angel, which is Peter Gregory, Community Lead for Nottinghamshire Freemasons together with partners from across the community came together with one shared mission: empower ordinary people to save lives.

The Knife Angel, made from over 100,000 seized blades, stands as a national memorial and a reminder of the number of lives lost and families forever changed due to knife crime throughout the UK.

❤️ Thank you to everyone involved in this project for highlighting such an important issue.
