We would like to share that Sam Mason has made the decision to step down from his role as a trustee and leave JBT due to a change in personal circumstances.

Sam has been a valued member of our Board since 2024 and has given his time, expertise and experience to the charity throughout his involvement with us. We are very grateful for everything he has contributed and for the part he has played in helping us continue Jacob’s legacy.

Thank you, Sam! 💙

We’re thrilled to announce our runners who will be taking on the TCS London Marathon in 2027! 👟💙

James, Jack, Jon and Lucas will undertake the huge task of running over 26 miles across London, all to raise funds for JBT. They’re all enthusiastic and ready for the challenge, and we can’t wait to see all their fundraising adventures over the next few months! 💙

It was a difficult process choosing our runners and we’re so grateful to everyone who applied and showed their support for the charity 🤝

I hope you’ll join all of the trustees at JBT in wishing these four all the luck in the world as they start their journey to the London Marathon! 💙🍀👟

Our activity facilitator, Hannah, has given us some exciting updates on her work with Sacred Heart Catholic Academy over the past few months! 💙

As Jacob and the majority of our trustees are alumni of Sacred Heart, we’re delighted to be able to work with and support them in their music sessions. We can’t wait to see what Hannah works on with them next! 🎓💙

We’re always interested in working with schools and offering more support to students, so if you know of a school that would thrive working with JBT, please do get in touch! 🫶

As well as discounted music tuition, we also offer discounted rehearsal space for Sefton-based and Liverpool-based artists and bands through our partner Bookshop Studios 🎵🎸💙

VIDEOTON who performed for with for the very first time at JBT Live last month, are just one of the bands who have been using this vital service. We’re thrilled to be able to offer this kind of opportunity, especially as it helps bands like VIDEOTON get off the ground! 🙌💙

You can get a discounted rehearsal space on our website. Huge thanks as always to Bookshop Studios for being a fantastic partner 🫶💙

Six years ago today, we lost our friend and brother, Jacob 💙

We remember him every day, in everything that we do as a charity, but today especially, we are thinking of all the memories he shared with us, and the legacy he left behind.

We created the Jacob Billington Trust to share Jacob’s love of music and the creative arts with as many people as possible, and we’re so proud of all we have done in memory of him.

In everything we do, we remember our friend and our brother. We miss you, Jacob 💙

We’ve had some fantastic feedback from the parents of young people who are utilising our discounted music tuition service! 🎼💙

Our discounted music lessons have been a flagship part of our mission since we started JBT, and we’re thrilled to see how much our young people are getting out of them 💙

If you have a young person who you think would benefit from this initiative, you can access a referral form, as well as our terms of service, on our website, linked below! 👇 💙

‼️ This month’s Songwriters & Storytellers session on 26th August has been cancelled ‼️

Unfortunately we won’t be able to host our session this month at Bramble Berries Ltd, but we’ll be back in September and we hope you’ll be able to join us! 💙

We’re so proud of the work we do at JBT, but the reality is that none of this would be possible without your support 🙏

By setting up a monthly donation with us, you’d be helping us fund vital creative arts education for young people who may not be able to access it otherwise. The creative arts are vital for young people’s wellbeing, mental health and confidence to name just a few benefits.

We want to continue to foster opportunities for as many young people as possible, so if you’re able, please consider pledging to us on a monthly basis 💙 it doesn’t matter how small, every little bit helps!

You can set up a monthly donation on the “Support Us” tab on our website, linked below and in our bio.

We also have a blog post, talking a bit more about how vital your support is, and why monthly donations matter 🤝

Thank you so much for always supporting JBT 💙

💙 JBT Live ‘26 💙

It’s already been a week since JBT Live, and what a day it was! We couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who came along to support the event, it means the world to us 🫶💙

We’re especially grateful to all of the artists we came and performed their material! Each and every one of them was fantastic, and we’re so lucky as a charity that we can provide a platform for such amazing local talent 👏 thank you to telephone line, Emily-Mae, J0151, VIDEOTON and Ciaran Delaney 💙

We are always striving to grow and expand our reach to more young people, and we feel like we’ve smashed that out of the park so far in 2026! We hope you’ll keep following us and supporting us and allowing us to put on more incredible events like this 🙌💙

Massive thank you to Lock & Quay for hosting our event this year! 💙

All of the trustees at JBT want to send a HUGE thank you to the Volunteer Canteen Golf Society for raising a whopping £600 for us! 👏💙

We’re overwhelmed by the support we receive, particularly from organisations like the Volunteer Canteen Golf Society, and we wouldn’t be where we are without it. These kinds of donations mean we can reach more people, spread our work further and ultimately help as many young people as possible.

THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this incredible donation 🫶💙
