"No auditions. EVER. If you can talk, you can sing. Come as you are and we’ll build your voice gently, together."

Five of us from the Joseph Lappin Centre Community Choir (including Grace!) had the absolute loveliest visit to Liverpool Town Hall this week and a proper good chat with the Lord Mayor, Councillor William Shortall.

A huge thank you for the tea and biscuits (always a winner) and for showing us around, especially the Council Chamber… which we can confirm would make a brilliant choir rehearsal space. The acoustics! The grandeur! Someone get us a booking form 😉

We also talked about the real day to day challenges of living with disabilities in the city, and how we can all do more to shine a light, champion equality, and make sure everyone can take part fully across the Liverpool City Region.

And special mention to Steve, who is still absolutely chuffed with his gifted Liver Bird pin. Proper proud moment!

No auditions. No pressure. Just singing, tea, and a lovely room full of people who get it.
