ReLoved sells a variety of donated items as well as given local artists & crafts people to exhibit and sell their products. . Love Wavertree is a CIC and community campaign for positive action working by, with, of and for the people of Wavertree, Liverpool. We are an independent collective of local residents who have come together with one overarching thing in common: We Love Wavertree. Back in
the Spring of 2019, our community rallied together in response to some negative local and national news stories that just didn’t look, sound or feel like the Wavertree we all know and love. Wavertree’s new ‘ReLoved’ Shop and Community Hub space at 203 Picton Road opened its doors on Saturday 4th July 2020, as part of the UK Independent’s Day celebrations. Since opening in early July 2020, our ‘ReLoved’ shop and hub at 203 Picton Road has very quickly found its place as the beating heart of our community. All profits generated through ReLoved are reinvested back into Wavertree. Working through the shop, we have been able to open a ‘Uniform Bank’ to distribute second-hand and new uniforms to local families, to offer a 50% discount on baby and children’s goods to foster carers, to make up support packages for refugee families living locally, and to create book packages for local residents who are COVID-19 shielding. Working through the hub, community members have started a weekly running club, book club, ‘Wavertree in Bloom’ group, arts club, film group, photography group, crafting, sewing and making, poetry and writing groups. We have recently hosted our first photography exhibition, with much more to come!…
