🪀⚜️ Yo-yo making in Scouts!

Our Scouts got hands-on this week making their very own yo-yos from scratch. ✂️✨

There was plenty of creativity, a bit of trial and error and, of course, lots of testing once they were finished!

A fun evening of making, problem-solving and seeing whose yo-yo had the best spin. 😎

🎶🐺 Making some noise in Cubs!

Our Cubs also got started on their Musician Stage 1 Badge this week, experimenting with Boomwhackers, bells and chimes. 🥁✨

They explored different sounds and rhythms, had a go at playing together and, unsurprisingly, made plenty of noise along the way! 😅

A brilliant musical evening and a great start to another badge. 🎵

🎵🦫 Music and games for our Beavers tonight!

There were plenty of laughs as everyone got stuck into some favourite games before starting work towards their Musician Stage 1 Badge. 🎤✨

A fun evening of playing, listening, making music and trying something new together!

A great start to another badge adventure. 🌟

👾🐿️ Little monsters in Squirrels!

Our Squirrels got creative this week making their very own mini monsters using play dough, pipe cleaners, buttons and plenty of imagination. 🎨✨

No two monsters looked the same, and that was half the fun — some were silly, some were spooky and some were just completely unique!

A brilliant evening of creativity, colour and wonderfully weird creations. 👀

🎲⚜️ A chilled games night for our Scouts!

Tonight was all about catching up, getting creative and having some fun together. The Scouts designed and built their own tabletop games before bringing out a few old favourites too. 🎯♟️

A lovely relaxed evening — and a big congratulations to Florence on her investiture! 👏✨

Welcome officially to the Scout Troop, Florence!

🍂🏮 Craft & Games at Cubs Tonight! 🏮🍂

The Cubs had a lovely evening of autumn-themed crafting and games tonight! 🎨🍁

They made some beautiful autumn lanterns, which they then enjoyed carrying around in the dark. ✨🌙

🐾🦫 Animal Friend Badge complete! 🦫🐾

Tonight our Beavers finished their Animal Friend Badge by giving short presentations all about their pets. 🐶🐱🐰🐹

They told us what makes their animals special and shared some of the ways they help to care for them at home.

We were so proud of everyone for standing up and speaking in front of the group — they all did a fantastic job! ⭐👏

Of course, we still found plenty of time for some games too. 💚

Well done, Beavers! 🌟

🦔🍂 Hedgehogs in Squirrels!

Tonight was all about our prickly little garden visitors as the Squirrels learnt more about hedgehogs and why they need a little extra help at this time of year.

With Bonfire Night coming up, we also talked about one really important reminder…

🎇 Always check bonfires carefully for sleeping hedgehogs before lighting them! 🔥🦔

A fun evening with an important message to take home too! 🐿️✨

⚜️💬 Citizenship… but make it creative!

Tonight our Scouts explored what citizenship means and how messages can influence, inform and bring people together.

Then they turned those ideas into their own memes and slogans, using a mix of digital design and wood-burning techniques to bring them to life. 🔥💻

A brilliant evening combining big ideas, creativity and some very impressive finished pieces! 😎
