What a cracking night on Saturday at Moor Lane Methodist Church. Our 'Choirfest' featured five choirs, all very different, in a thoroughly entertaining evening which was enjoyed by all. We were entertained by Crosby Community Choir, In Another Place Gospel Choir, Bootle Strand Diversity Choir, Songbirds and the Aughton Male Voice Choir. To top the evening off, all five choirs joined together with full audience participation in singing 'Hey Jude'.

Last month, on Saturday 18th April, saw Crosby & District Lions celebrate their 42nd Charter Anniversary at West Lancashire Golf Club. District Governor Ian Francis, District Governor Elect John Fitchett and Lion Samantha Fitchett along with Lions and friends from around the District joined Crosby Lions for the evening.
Lion President June was delighted to welcome two new members into the Club, Lion Graham Wise and Lion Sarah Jolley.
There was sadness as the Club acknowledged the recent passing of Lion John Hall who was due to receive a Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF), the highest award that Lions can give in recognition of his over 40 years service to the community through Lions. The award was made posthumously and accepted by President June and will be passed on to John's family.
The guest speaker was Mr David Hird, Headteacher of Netherton Moss Primary School, who spoke fondly of Lion John as David was a pupil at Forefield Lane Junior School where John taught for over forty years.
