Thank You Morrisons Belle Vale !
On Tuesday, after we had done our hostel visits, our food shelves were left bare and our treats box was empty.
Yesterday afternoon I received a phone call from Carl, the Community Champion at Morrisons Belle Vale, who wanted to drop off some dog food that had been collected in store, and later Carl dropped off a boot full of goodies on his way to his volunteering role with Liverpool in Arms
Huge thanks to Kelly and Demi for supporting Carl in organising the collection. And thank you to Neve for nominating us.
This donation along with the earlier donation means that we can continue providing those pets in need with the essentials to keep them well and happy.
We are constantly amazed by the generosity of people in supporting our work ❤️

We have had a fabulous donation from Alex Stewart International of tasty food and treats; collars, leads and harnesses; all sorts of toys; warm coats and cosy blankets for our furry friends.

We had a busier than usual outreach last night
It was good to make connections with new contacts as well as catching up with some regulars and hearing their news.
Along with the usual goodie bags of food, treats and toys, we gave out some jumpers and coats ready for the cooler weather.
We also had requests for flea and worm treatments which we were able to provide.
And we even managed a quick game of football on Matthew St !

Our next Outreach Saturday will be this coming Saturday 3rd October 6-7pm!

We'll be at our Duke Street office from 5:30-6pm before setting off, so if you'd like to drop off any donations or if you'd like to pick up any food and supplies from us, you are welcome to pop in then!

As we make our way through Liverpool city centre with our goodie bags of dog food, treats, toys, and leads for our sweet furry friends, please don't hesitate to come over to us and say hi!

If you or anyone you know in the city centre is in need of dog food and supplies, please drop us a message so we can arrange to drop off a goodie bag on our rounds, or for the food to be collected from us on Duke Street. Thank you!

This last week we have helped 3 of our pet owners with flea issues.

We were first contacted about a house cat who has escaped the hostel they were staying in and returned with fleas, another person who had been given a kitten which turned out to have fleas, as well as a dog suspected to also have fleas.

We have advised that the animals need to register with the local vet service, but as you may know, fleas need to be treated immediately before they infest homes.

So we arranged next day deliveries of appropriate over the counter treatments, flea combs, room sprays, flea traps, and flea bombs. And the hostels are also working hard to eradicate the fleas at source.

This urgent help we are providing is only possible with your support and donations. 🙏

Yesterday on our midweek Outreach we saw a few dogs out and were able to leave some goodie bags of food, treats, and toys with them! Even on a quiet evening, our doggy friends are always excited to see us (or perhaps more so their new goodies 😆).

We also bumped into Brian Phillips with Dolly, had a chat, and left some goodie bags with him for the food outreach teams to hand out.

Thanks to your support and donations that we are able to provide the needed supplies for these lovely pups!
