Another great Cancer Awareness session was delivered by Mike for the Wirral Change Polish community, using our interactive Cancer Awareness Bingo to make learning fun and engaging. ☺️

The session encouraged conversations around cancer awareness, helping participants learn more about the signs and symptoms to look out for, the importance of early detection, and ways to reduce cancer risk.

It was fantastic to hear such positive feedback from the group, with several attendees saying they found the session brilliant, interesting, and that they had learned a great deal while enjoying the interactive activities. ⭐

Tia recently spent the day at WEB Merseyside delivering mini health checks as part of Community Hearts, our cardiovascular disease (CVD) project. ❤️

It was a fantastic opportunity to support their members by carrying out:
🩺 Blood pressure checks
📏 Waist measurements
⚖️ Weight
💓 Pulse checks

Alongside these health checks, we had valuable conversations about cardiovascular risk factors, healthy lifestyle choices, and achievable dietary goals to help people take positive steps towards improving their heart health.

A big thank you to everyone at WEB Merseyside for welcoming us, and to everyone who took the time to chat with us and prioritise their health. Together, we're helping our community stay heart healthy, one conversation at a time. ❤️

Last week, we held our very first Cancer Prehab co-production session at West Kirby Methodist Church, bringing together people with lived experience to share their thoughts, ideas and experiences.

Your voices matter.

Every conversation and piece of feedback will help shape how our Cancer Prehab service develops and grows, ensuring it reflects what people really need.

We're so grateful to everyone who took the time to be part of the session - we're excited to continue building this service together. 💙

Last week, Mike had the pleasure of delivering a cancer awareness session for the Wirral Change Women's Group. 🎉

The group took part in our popular Cancer Awareness Bingo game, making learning about the signs and symptoms of cancer, early detection, and prevention both interactive and enjoyable.

It was a fantastic session with some really positive feedback, and it was great to see everyone getting involved, asking questions, and having fun while learning such important information.

💜 Supporting Women's Health in Our Community 💜

Katie and Tia recently had the pleasure of attending the Women's Health Day at Tomorrow's Women - Wirral Centre, where they spent the day chatting with attendees about a range of important health topics.

Throughout the event, they offered free blood pressure checks, shared information about cardiovascular disease risk factors, discussed the cancer screening process, and answered questions about maintaining good health and wellbeing.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to speak with us and took the time to have their blood pressure checked. Every conversation is an opportunity to learn more about your health, and knowing your numbers is one of the simplest but most important steps you can take to reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke.

It was wonderful to meet so many people, have some great conversations, and support women in taking positive steps towards better health. We look forward to seeing you at future community events!

Last week, Mike had the privilege of delivering a Cancer Awareness session for the men's group at Wirral Change.

The session was attended by more than 30 men and focused on the importance of cancer awareness, early detection, and prevention, with particular emphasis on prostate and bowel cancer.

It was an incredibly engaging session, and the Cancer Awareness Quiz was a real highlight - it sparked great conversations and was enjoyed by everyone.

A huge thank you to Wirral Change for the warm welcome, the positive feedback, and the opportunity to have these important conversations within the community. Together, we can help raise awareness, encourage early detection, and save lives. 💙

Last week, Mike delivered a Cancer Awareness Ambassador Training session with the fantastic team at The Salvation Army Rock Ferry.

Together with Sian, Myrtle, and their dedicated team, we explored how to raise cancer awareness using our interactive quiz-based learning approach and Cancer Ambassador Toolkit.

The training equips ambassadors with the knowledge and confidence to start important conversations, raise awareness within their communities, and signpost people to the right support and services.

For the third consecutive year, we were delighted to support the staff wellbeing day at Birkenhead Sixth Form College by providing blood pressure checks for teachers and support staff.

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, which is why it's known as the "silent killer."

A simple blood pressure check takes just a few minutes but can help identify potential health risks early, allowing people to access advice and treatment before more serious problems develop.

It's always a privilege to be part of initiatives that prioritise staff health and wellbeing.

A huge thank you to Birkenhead Sixth Form College for inviting us back for a third year - we're proud to continue supporting such a fantastic event.
