Hello folks, we have another mystery photo that's arrived in the archive and ready for cataloguing, but we're wondering what you know about it. We did think that's Albert Wright holding the giant megaphone in the centre. Starr & Rignall of Ely are the photographers, but where was this photo of this group of men taken, and what's going on?

Over to you!

Hello everyone, we've had a photo shared with us in a hope that we can identify the people in the photo. The only information we have is: "My grandparents Horace and Jessie Garner from Black Bank had this photo taken by a local photographer. Do you by any chance know who the people are please?"

Maybe you recognise the photo by Littleport photographer D. R. Spencely. Can you help name the people?

Hello folks, we have some more photographs to catalogue except we'd love some help from you in identifying who is in them. We know most of the people in the most modern photo (but not all), and the others we have no idea who they're of....

Over to you! Your help is much appreciated.

The former Lloyds Bank in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, has been listed at Grade II. 👏

The 1931 building, designed by architects Henry Munro Cautley and Leslie Barefoot, is a rare example of a purpose-built commercial bank built in the vernacular style with a thatched roof.

It features decorative pargetting featuring the black horse of Lloyds Bank and grapevines, and ornate carved doorways, demonstrating exceptional traditional craftsmanship.

The building was designed to provide a banking hall and bank manager’s office with private living accommodation for the bank manager and his family.

The former bank was adapted for use as offices in the early 21st century, and the interior was then converted to residential flats in 2016.
