I just want to say a massive thank you to my team of leaders that helped out on this camp, we had an amazing time and we made some great memories with the children . I couldn't do it without my amazing team .

🦆 This weekend our Superstar Squirrels (and a couple of Brilliant Beavers) spent the day at the WWT Arundel Wetland Centre. They took part in lots of amazing activities including pond dipping, watching the pelican feeding, being a vet in the vet check room and following the Gozzle trail based on Author, Julia Donaldsons new book about a gosling.
They even saw a real life Gozzle.
The weather was beautiful and it was a great way to earn their “ Go Wild” badge 🐝.

🇬🇧This week our Scouts celebrated VE Day. Everyone dressed in red, white and blue, they had a great time playing old style battleships and cooking baked apples and chocolate bananas on the fire. As a treat the Scouts were also given sweets - 1940s style.
A Big thank you to Bigfoot and Henry for organising and making it a fun evening 🇬🇧

We need urgent action!

Our Scout group has not had our general waste or recycling collected by Biffa since November 2025, despite repeated assurances and scheduled collections being missed multiple times in the past 2 weeks.

Rubbish is now rotting on site, creating a serious health and safety risk for the 100+ local families, children and volunteers who use our building each week. We cannot leave excess waste in bags outside due to wildlife tearing it open.
We have formally escalated our complaint and requested
not just an immediate collection of our waste but an explanation for the repeated failures, and confirmation we can end our contract due to it not being upheld by Biffa.

Please share with anyone you think can help us resolve this - we'd much rather spend our volunteering time supporting our young people than with endless calls, and checking bins full of months old rubbish.

We simply want to provide a safe, clean space for our young people & need this resolved urgently. Mayor of Littlehampton Alison Griffiths MP
