Meet the crew this Christmas: Spider

Spider is one of our lifeboat station’s volunteer launch authorities. Now retired, Spider’s a casual worker for Littlehampton Harbour Board and also volunteers with the Maritime Volunteer Service and Freedom Leisure.

Spider says: ‘The RNLI has been life-changing for me in so many positive ways. The dedication of everyone at Littlehampton RNLI is exemplary and everyone's professionalism – together with humour, compassion and comradeship – is a joy to be part of. I’ve even roped my wife into an administrative role. When I moved to Rustington in 2021, I didn't know then just how much my life would be enriched within the RNLI.’
