This coming Sunday is the start of our Brass Band Summer Concerts in Hare Hill Park. The first Band of the year will be the Friendly Band (Sowerby Bridge) from West Yorkshire. The Concert will start at 3pm. Please come along and support this community event. Bring a chair as we only have a limited number. Refreshments will be on sale.

Friends of Hare Hill Park
Did you enjoy the Christmas Eve Carols in the Park? Did you come to one of our fabulous band concerts in 2025? If these events are to take place this year, we need new volunteers to come forward, or these events will not take place. This year nothing yet as been planned due to lack of volunteers. Volunteers’ roles vary from helping on the day of the event to help planning the events.
We need a team to help with planning events,
Roles are
Social media and advertising of events online and around the village.
Health and safety person to make sure we have the right documents in place for events.
First Aiders to be present at each event
Event team coordinator, which entails planning a team for each event and making sure we have enough volunteers to cover each event.
Stock control making sure we have refreshments in stock for each event.
Secretary who takes minutes of meetings and takes care of correspondence.
Volunteers to help serve refreshments on the day of events
Volunteers to help setup and pack away at events
Volunteers to collect donations throughout the events.
Most of these volunteer roles can be done on a rotation basis, so you are not expected to attend every event, there are 7 events that are held by the Friends group in the Park throughout the year. If you would like to become a volunteer for Friends of Hare Hill Park then please come along to our meeting this Wednesday 4th February 7pm at Hare Hill House. If you require any more information or cannot attend on Wednesday but would like to be involved, then please make contact through Facebook messenger.
