Bolton NEWT Family Events, Monthly community tasks, wildlife photography and videos all in Breightmet, Tonge with Haulgh and Darcy Lever.

Formed in 2017 to promote and protect the wildlife corridor along Bradshaw Brook, the River Tonge and the River Croal through volunteer work, social media engagement, videography, photography, habitat enhancement and public events. Aim of Project

• To protect the Bolton North East Wildlife Trail from detrimental effect upon the wildlife corridor.
• To acquire funding to promote and enhance habitats and parks that form the Bolton North East Wildlife Trail.
• To promote and raise the public awareness of trails that use the Bolton North East Wildlife Trail.
• To provide a website that promotes NEWT.

Our first Halloween session had over 50 people join us on site as we made witches brooms and gave out 8lr of hot chocolate, Jan & Simon helped by finishing off the Pirate Ship.

Roll on our big Halloween Spooktacular, smoke machines, hot chocolate, hot dogs, word search with prize, holousion projections, spooky graveyard, music, sound effects, this will be our biggest Halloween yet!

A big thank you to Christine, Asda Community Champion for the donation to our upcoming big Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday 24th October. Today we'll be making witches brooms from noon till 2pm at the Garstang Hub, with hot chocolate and as always, everything is free!

Halloween is coming! A massive thank you to Simon & Jan for painting the whole ship, it looks brand new. Great work by Becky, Sam, Freya, Ariana, Terri, Alexander and Elliott in preparing for our Halloween Spooktacular.

As a thank you, 5 pizzas for dinner, lots of ham and pepperoni.

Today on the allotments from 11am till 3pm.

4 litres of Hot chocolate. brews and biscuits.

1. Pirate ship needs painting if its dry enough.
2. Graves need painting - if dry enough. Let the lads make more or finish off the graves.
3. Grave yard fence needs making from old pallets and old wood - could do with strimming the grave yard area.
4. Wand making for Halloween event, twine and hot glue guns. (not suitable for under 10 with hot glune guns but twine is fine)
5. Figure out what to do with the plastic green house for Halloween.
6. Go completely overboard on Halloween.
