Fusion Theatre is an award winning youth theatre group based Lisburn

Fusion are a registered charity that were set up to unite children and young people from across the religious divide in Northern Ireland, with the aim of giving them a positive common goal of putting on a spectacular piece of theatre. Almost 25 years down the line Fusion have won multiple awards, and have travelled the UK and Ireland to perform in for thousands of people across countless audiences.

👑 Incredible News! Huge Congratulations to Our Chairperson, Angela Manson! 👑

We are absolutely thrilled and incredibly proud to share that our very own Chairperson, Angela Manson, has been awarded a BEM in the Birthday Honours list for services to Youth Musical Theatre 🎭

This prestigious honour recognises Angela’s outstanding service, dedication and leadership.

Angela has been at the beating heart of Fusion for almost 25 years dedicating over two decades to supporting our mission. Having held many roles, in recent times she has steered the ship as our Chairperson, leading with passion, grace, and unwavering commitment.

This recognition could not go to a more deserving person. Her impact on Fusion, our team and the wider community is immeasurable.

Thank you, Angela, for nearly a quarter-century of inspiration, hard work and leadership. We are so lucky to have you at the helm!

🎶 Happy Friday from the Vaudeville Circuit

While you might be winding down for the weekend, the Fusion Theatre team is officially dialing it up.

There is so much exciting work happening behind the scenes to bring GYPSY to life this September 2026!

Here’s a little sneak peek at what we’ve been up to this week:

🎹 In the Music Room: Our vocals are getting bigger, bolder, and brassier. (The harmonies on “Together” are already sounding magical!)

🩰 On the Dance Floor: The choreography is officially underway. Let’s just say you’re not ready for the energy the ensemble is bringing.

✂️ In the Wardrobe Department: Fabric, gingham and patterns are flying. Annieca is hard at work designing some truly iconic “gimmicks.”

The hustle is real, the talent is unmatched, and we are well on our way to hitting the heights!

⭐️The True Story of a Star’s Transformation ⭐️

Did you know that Gypsy is based on a true story?

The musical is inspired by the 1957 memoirs of the famous Burlesque star Gypsy Rose Lee, born Rose Louise Hovick 🌹

The show follows her incredible, heartbreaking journey from Louise, a shy, overlooked young girl dressed as a boy in her sister’s shadow into a witty, glamorous, world-famous superstar who completely redefined Burlesque.

It’s a hilarious and triumphant story about finding your own voice, stepping into your own spotlight, and learning that “You Gotta Have a Gimmick!” 🎺

Everything’s coming up... REHEARSALS!🌹✨

Day 1 of Gypsy is officially underway. The hustle starts now!

The scripts are out, the scores are open and the Fusion Theatre family has gathered for our very first rehearsal of GYPSY

There’s a special kind of magic in the room when you realise you’re not just rehearsing a show, you’re building a legend. We’ve got nothing to hit but the heights!

✨ Spirit of Fusion ✨

On the final night of each production, each cast member and volunteer makes one vote for who is the ‘Spirit of Fusion’ - each person gets a blank piece of paper and writes who they are voting for and importantly WHY!

Here is the first winner of 2026, Ché, who joined Fusion recently for Cinderella 🎭 with The Ros McCleary Spirit of Fusion Memorial Trophy!

Many people have won over the years for lots of different reasons but the things they have in common are that they are inspire others, have commitment and dedication to Fusion and work as part of the Fusion Family to embody what Fusion is all about - Excellence, Fun, Family & Friendship, Inclusion & Creativity!

In our 25th year, we retell the story of the Belfast-made ship in a stunning production marking the musical’s 30th anniversary.

For this very special show, we are inviting all Fusioneers past & present to join us to retell this epic tale - details to follow!

The world’s favorite musical returns for our silver anniversary celebration! It’s been 10 years since our last production of Les Mis and this promises to be the best one yet!
