Being a young mum can bring lots of joy, but it can also come with challenges. You don’t have to face them alone! 🌸

Our Young Mums MAS Project provides a safe, welcoming and supportive space for young mums to connect, share experiences, build friendships and support one another on their motherhood journey.

Through peer support, conversations and wellbeing activities, we aim to support maternal mental health, build confidence and help young mums feel heard, valued and less alone. 💕

How amazing is this!

We always rely on the community to come together at this time of year. Unfortunately the need in the community keeps growing each year and it seems to just get tougher.

Although there is a silver lining folks and its community superhero’s like yourself calling for action, donating and helping families here in Lisburn.

That truly makes a difference an ensures each child has a Christmas and each family has a home filled with a little joy!

A day packed with politics, history, and learning! 🏛️✨

On Monday, 12th October, our Women Leading Peace group proudly supported by our PEACEPLUS partnership headed to Parliament Buildings, Stormont for an unforgettable tour.

The day started with a buzz as the ladies got to witness First Minister Michelle O’Neill delivering a live press conference. During our time there, we also caught glimpses of Jim Allister and Timothy Gaston and Pat Sheehan in action!

We spent the day exploring rooms steeped in political history, capturing plenty of photos along the way. It was a fantastic educational experience where we learned all about the d'Hondt system, the 1-2-3 voting process, and the inner workings of government.

After a brilliant lunch, the women even got to sit in the public gallery of the Assembly Chamber to watch the topic of the day unfold!

AND some of us even got a few seconds on BBC 1 on the local news that evening! 📺🎬

A massive thank you to the incredible staff and partners who made this day a total success: Atlas Women's Centre, Stepping Stones NI, Ballybeen Women's Centre, and YMCA Lisburn. Together, we continue to learn, lead, and grow! 🤝🕊️
