The Egyptian Society of Northern Ireland
The Egyptian Society of Northern Ireland is a charity non-profit organisation established in 2006 by group of Egyptians and Arabs residing in Northern Ireland. The main aim of the Egyptian Society of Northern Ireland is to facilitate the integration of several ethnic minorities within the community. In order to achieve this aim, the Egyptian Society of Northern Ireland successfully introduced the Egyptian and Arab culture by hosting several events throughout the years to celebrate multiple occasions, such as Ramadan Iftar in Stormont, Christmas celebrations and Eid celebrations in Hillsborough Castle. Additionally, the Egyptian Society of Northern Ireland offers a helping hand to any Arabic newcomers who are relocating to Northern Ireland. This helping hand includes; introducing them to the local community, providing language lessons and encouraging social interactions through the organisation’s activities.
As part of the social integrations of our ethnic minority within the community, Egyptian Society of Northern Ireland contributed in several campaigns with Unite Against Hate. The organisation also encouraged the youth within to contribute in local activities, such as Midnight Soccer.
