On a bright, cold Sunday morning inbetween rain showers, cadets from 817 and fellow cadets from Northern Ireland Wing Royal Air Force Air Cadets took part in the Wing Cross Country at a changed location (due to flooding), it was a very close competition with 3 golds for 817 giving just enough points to gain the overall competition winners 🏆. Well done folks and thanks to the organisers and staff for all their work making the event run smoothly. A big well done to Cpls Gardner and Sesay and Cadet Bansal, who in a 1st for 817 were awarded their Bronze Space badges.

The RAF Air Cadets Bronze Space Syllabus (Exploring Space) is an intermediate training module aimed at expanding knowledge of space technology, following the completion of the Blue Space badge. It covers technical topics including satellite systems and rocket engines, serving as a stepping stone for cadets interested in becoming space instructors or pursuing aerospace careers.

Well done folks we hope you continue "to boldly go where no-one has gone before"
