Lisburn Outlook Outlook is a social group for blind and partially sighted people & their friends. We have a tandem group which meet weekly weather permitting.

We visit places of interest, we hold coffee mornings, pub evenings, theatre trips and many other activities.

Our First Saturday Coffee This Year Morning is Here!

You asked, and we listened.
For those who can't make our midweek coffee mornings because of work, family commitments, or other commitments, this Saturday coffee morning is especially for you.
Saturday | 10.30am – 12.30pm
Coffee Shop, First Floor, Smyth Patterson Ltd
Come along for a relaxed morning of coffee, conversation, and community. Whether you're a familiar face or joining us for the first time, you'll receive a warm welcome.

The tandems were out today for another enjoyable ride.
We stopped The Quirky Bird - Social Enterprise Cafe for refreshments before continuing our journey.
Good weather, good cycling conditions, and a great day out for everyone who took part.

A visit to Greens Food Fare

Lisburn Outlook enjoyed a guided tour of Greens Food Fare with our host, Loraine. We explored the store, learned about the wide range of products on offer, and got a behind-the-scenes look at how everything operates.
From the cheese and deli counters to gluten-free products and fresh salads, there was plenty to discover. The giant Andex puppy and guide dog Ember also made memorable appearances!
Thank you to Loraine and the team at Greens Food Fare for welcoming us and sharing their knowledge with the group.

This montage captures some of the highlights from our guided tour with Loraine, including a behind-the-scenes look around the store, the impressive cheese selection, and of course a visit from the giant Andrex puppy alongside guide dog Ember.

Saturday Tandems were out on the road today braving the wet weather, with plenty of laughs, determination and big smiles along the way 🚴‍♂️☔

After a soggy spin, everyone headed The Shed for a well-earned warm-up, hot drinks and great company. Rain or shine, the smiles say it all!

Just a reminder that our Coffee Morning is this Thursday from 10:30am–12 noon at Coffee Inc. Pop in for a coffee, a cold drink and a tasty snack, courtesy of Outlook.

Please note that our space is upstairs – just head up and someone will come and take your order.

The photos capture a fun-filled day at Moria Lakes with the Lisburn Outlook group.
At the top left, the group are launching kayaks into the lake, wrapped up in wetsuits and buoyancy aids, ready for adventure despite the cloudy weather. In the middle photo, paddle boards are lined up along the calm water, with the peaceful lake and trees in the background. The top right shows everyone relaxing afterwards inside the cosy wooden lodge, enjoying food, drinks, and plenty of laughs around the table.

Seated around a cosy table with a classic red-and-white check cloth, the group are all smiles as they catch up over coffee and treats. Sunlight streams through the glass ceiling, giving the whole space a warm, welcoming feel. With cups, teapots, and little vases of flowers scattered across the table, it’s the perfect setting for good conversation and a few laughs.
A great morning spent in good company—exactly what Lisburn Outlook is all about.

Pottery fun continues for Lisburn Outlook members

A lovely day of creativity, colour, and plenty of laughs as members painted their pottery pieces together. Mud Ireland

The photos capture the fun perfectly — members focused on painting their ceramics, a table full of colourful paints and brushes, big smiles all round, and a group shot enjoying the creative atmosphere. The final snap shows a well-earned treat, relaxing with a glass of rosé in the sunshine.
