On Monday, the Youth Committee headed to Newcastle and walked the Murlough beach to the town. 🏝️

We did get a little rain but that didn’t stop us.

Grace and Kevin even tumbled down a huge sand hill. 😆

We had positive messages painted on stones that we placed around the beach. 💫

Here are some of our highlights:

Men’s mental health is an important issue that deserves greater awareness, understanding, and support. Many men struggle with challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, and loneliness, yet often feel pressure to stay silent because of social expectations or stigma.

Encouraging open conversations about mental health can help break down these barriers and remind men that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Whether through friends, family, workplaces, or professional services, creating safe spaces for men to express their emotions can lead to healthier relationships, improved well-being, and stronger communities overall.

Here at Connect Minds we hold men’s mental health events and encourage men to talk about their mental health and to break the stigma

This Mental Health Week 💚, we’re reminding everyone that mental health is real, it matters, and it deserves to be taken seriously.

Mental health is not a joke. ❌

It’s easy to miss what someone is really going through behind a smile 😊 or a simple “I’m fine” but that doesn’t always mean everything is okay.

Let’s stop the stigma , choose kindness , and make more effort to check in on each other.🫶

You never know how much a simple conversation could mean to someone.

Be kind. Be aware. 💚
