𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐠𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐠𝐨𝐰 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 — 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨!

We’ll be at the Linlithgow Night Market 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟰𝗽𝗺–𝟵𝗽𝗺 and 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 (𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆) 𝟭𝟮𝗽𝗺–𝟲𝗽𝗺, selling a lovely range of local history publications, Linlithgow artwork tea towels and tote bags.

It’s a great chance to pick up gifts, support local authors and artists, and chat with volunteers who care about our town’s story.

We’ll also be selling Battle 500 commemorative beer packs on 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟳𝗽𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟵𝗽𝗺 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 — perfect for collectors and supporters of the project.

Pop by the stall to browse, buy, and find out how you can get involved with Battle 500 events and volunteering. Every purchase helps fund the commemorative book and community projects, and your support makes a real difference to preserving Linlithgow’s heritage.

Relive Linlithgow’s dramatic past and help bring our 500th anniversary commemoration to life.

Linlithgow Civic Trust is publishing a generously illustrated souvenir book on The Battle of Linlithgow Bridge (4 September 1526), written by Ron Smith with contributions from local historian Jon Cooper.

The book will cover why the battle took place, what happened on the battlefield, its aftermath, the battle’s impact on the local community, changes to the landscape, and a present‑day walking route — a perfect keepsake for residents, visitors and history lovers.

You can support the project by pre-ordering your copy and get your name listed in the book - there are 3 options to pre-order:

Tonight is the night - hope to see you there.

Tonight is the Perambulation of Linlithgow Marches.
St Ninians Craigmailen Church, 7pm

The Perambulation will be led by Provost Derek Green, supported by flagbearers, halberdiers and the town piper, who will play at each of the march stones. The walk will start from the West Port and follow the line of a recorded boundary of the Royal Burgh, pausing at 7 out of the 8 march stones which mark the Parliamentary Boundary established in 1832.
