Girlguiding Deeping District is made up of Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers aged 4 - 18.

Rainbow units meet on:
- Wednesday evenings

Brownie units meet on:
- Monday evenings
- Tuesday evenings
- Wednesday evenings
- Thursday evenings

Guide units meet on:
- Monday evenings
- Wednesday evenings

Ranger units meet on:

Over the past few weeks 1st Deeping St James Guides have been completing their Geocaching badge!

They’ve been out and about, working as a team, looking for geocaches, following maps, finding out about the local area and thinking about what sort of geocaches they would like to make. So keep your eyes peeled because soon you might be able to find a Deeping Girlguiding geocache!

We’ve had an exciting month with lots of new enrolments including 2 new brownies from 1st Market Deeping Brownies and 1 new guide from 1st Deeping St James Guides. Well done to everyone who has made their promise ✨

This evening 1st Market Deeping & 1st Deeping St James Guides teamed up for their annual litter pick!

Luckily the rain held off for us (but it was a little chilly) we found all sorts from a shoe, to wrappers, drinks cans and even a bungee cord!

Introducing 2nd Market Deeping Rainbows 🌈

2nd Market Deeping Rainbows had their first meeting last night! They currently don’t have uniform as they’re waiting for the uniform launch in a couple months, but it’s wonderful to see so many new faces in Deeping Girlguiding

Deeping Rangers took part in some up-cycling this week to make Earth Day today. They made vegan wax wraps, up-cycling fabric and reducing plastic use, and made their own candles, adding colour and scents to unused candle wax.

Due to the growing demand and following the success of our open day we are pleased to announce the opening of our second Rainbow unit which will be meeting on a Thursday 4:45-6pm.

If your daughter is younger than 7 this is the section for her and it’s never too early to register so you can be offered a place once your child is old enough, with spaces being offered to children aged from 4+

This week 1st Market Deeping Brownies got creative and decorated a little Bee for Easter. The Brownies also went home with lots of chocolate treats!

A huge congratulations to Alice from 1st Deeping St James Guides for achieving her Guide Gold Award!

To achieve your Guide Gold Award you have to complete all 6 Theme Awards: Know Myself, Express Myself, Be Well, Have Adventures, Take Action and Skills For My Future, as well as a final challenge. With each Theme Award consisting of 1 interest badge, 1 skills builder and 4 hours of unit meeting activities. So it’s no easy feat, requiring commitment and perseverance.
