From today, 26 October, part of London’s famous shopping street will be pedestrianised, giving shoppers more space to walk around.

More trees and seating are also planned. 🌳

The Force Control Room (FCR) have received multiple reports about members of the public receiving calls from someone purporting to be from a police force from various areas across the country.

Please be aware that criminals use number spoofing, which means that a caller can make their call appear to be from any number or organisation. It may appear that a call is from a genuine source, but caller ID alone is not to be trusted. If you receive a call asking you to transfer money, provide your personal or financial details, hang up immediately. This is a scam.

Remember:
✖️ NEVER trust caller ID alone.
✔️ ALWAYS hang up if you have any doubts.
