It is nearly 189 years since Victoria became our Queen and so started the "Victorian Age". Much happened during those days and Grantham Branch has Mike Burton for the evening of Wednesday, 17th June to describe the Social History and Reforms that took place, much of which still influences our lives today. An interesting evening for us all and no cost to you.

Sad news from Grimsby branch
Passing of Denise Light
Hi, All
Last week Jenny ( Denise’s daughter) let me know of Denise’s passing in hospital. Those of you who knew her knew she struggled with her health for many years.
Did you know Denise ? Well, if you accessed our Grimsby marriage indexes, thank Denise, she also single handed transcribed Scartho Road cemetery headstones when her children were small, a tremendous project that broke my personal brick wall. She was my vice chair since I became chairman of our group. Quietly doing the job, what was an AGM without Denise sorting us out. A Heritage weekend without her straightening our displays and eating my sweets 😂
The genealogical world has lost a tremendous resource the likes we will probably never see the likes again.
