MISSION MAY: LAND • SEA • SURVIVAL

What a month it has been for Excalibur Explorers!

Throughout May, our Explorers have taken on challenges across land, sea, and survival; pushing themselves further every week and proving exactly what adventure scouting is all about.

From teamwork and resilience to confidence and courage, every activity has brought new experiences, big laughs, and unforgettable memories.

Mission May has been all about stepping outside comfort zones, trying something new, and embracing adventure… and our Explorers have absolutely smashed it!

Here’s to more adventures ahead… Mission accomplished! 🚀

“Who? Oh- my victim!” 😂

We took advantage of the brilliant weather to start teaching “in the wild” rescues while out on our paddle this bank holiday. It’s not just fun (and a great way to cool off!) but a vital safety skill to be able to help when out on the water.

“I started volunteering to help give young people these amazing experiences and it’s so rewarding to know the skills I learn can, even in a small way, change lives.”

We wouldn’t be where we are without our volunteers, and those around us that support what we do. Every step or paddle stroke we take is because we believe in a unified goal that every young person should have a place to belong.

This weekend we’re celebrating!

6 Months ago we launched Excalibur with the dream of providing new skills for life and ensuring everyone had somewhere they felt they could belong. We couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve created so far.

Now we’re looking to spring and summer on the water and a world of possibilities. Every young person, every promise, every moment matters! We hope you’ll join us on the way…
