Lincoln Sea Cadets

Lincoln Sea Cadets We are passionate about investing in all young people by offering unique experiences, delivered locally, regionally, nationally and off shore.

The Sea Cadet Corps is a voluntary youth organisation for young people (Junior Section 10-12yrs, Sea Cadets 12-18yrs & Royal Marine Cadets 13-18yrs)
We parade on Tuesdays & Fridays 19:00 to 21:00 hrs (numbers limited) email: [email protected] At Lincoln Sea Cadet Unit we aim to give young people the best possible head start in life through nautical adventure and fun, based on the custom

s and traditions of the Royal Navy. Our trained volunteers are qualified and experienced in a huge range of water and land based activities where we hope to inspire the next generation to realise their potential and seize a better future for themselves. Helping to improve life chances at school, in work and for the community. Through this we create a sense of belonging and identity where young people flourish, gaining confidence, skills, values and qualifications and most importantly friends for life.

Day two of the Lincolnshire Show, hard work but enjoyable day of community engagement, recruitment and networking.

We look forward to returning next year in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Lincoln to build on the successes of this years show.

As always, we couldn’t attend these events without the fantastic support of our wonderful volunteer staff, supporters and Rotary Club partners.

Two of our intrepid novice sailers, inspired by their recent experiences on our sailing days, put themselves forward to represent Lincoln unit today at the Area Sailing competition.

Showing true courage they finished all races and got Lincoln unit back on the map at a sailing competition following a spell of absence.

We all hope this marks the start of more regular sailing entries by our unit going forward as part of the wider cadet experience we intend to deliver.

BZ boys.

Catering Course. We said it was a busy weekend!

If putting on a Sailing day and attending the rowing Regatta wasn’t enough for our dedicated staff and volunteers this weekend.

Lincoln unit also held a 2 day Basic Catering course for our cadets.

Much thanks goes to our Detachment Commander Lt (SCC) Dan Mullins RMR and our Unit Chair Alicia Armsworth for hosting.

BZ to the cadets, whom I’m told, throughly engaged in both the theory and practical applications of the course.

The results look delicious! Ensure you scroll through the picture’s!
