Thank you so much to local photographer Bartosz Fedkowicz for these beautiful photos taken at our Traditional Embroidery workshops with Madara Vimba a few weeks ago in the beautiful Shodfriars Hall as part of our Almanac project.
This workshop series sign ups have been so popular, thank you! The only workshop we have spaces remaining on is the Traditional Straw Garden workshop - snap your spot up quick!
Explore the symbolism & geometric forms of Lithuanian straw gardens while creating your own hanging ornament inspired by Baltic traditions💠
Kristina Skei will guide participants in creating traditional Lithuanian straw gardens (delicate hanging ornaments known as sodai) exploring their cultural meaning and geometric structure.
Beginning with an introduction to their symbolism, including connections to time, nature, and balance, participants will learn how similar forms appear across Baltic and Eastern European traditions
