The United Reformed Church laments with the global Church those experiencing persecution and violence due to their faith or ethnicity. Today we highlight the call from the World Council of Reformed Churches as it urges prayers for the Evangelical Church in Iran https://wcrc.eu/mashhad-church-prayer/, and the Methodist Church in Ireland as it condemns the Belfast attack https://irishmethodist.org/news/mic-statement-following-north-belfast-attack.
As followers of the Prince of Peace, we commit ourselves to pray for others in times of trouble, to encourage peacemaking, and to acknowledge that where 'one part of the body suffers, all suffer together with it'.
Please hold these situations in your prayers as examples of the struggles that many around the world face each day.
