Community Co-ordinator South Holland Hello, my name is Rox and I am the Community Co-ordinator for Lincolnshire Co-op that covers South Holland.

My role is to bring together ideas, energy and resources to make life better in our communities.

We support five amazing Community Cuppa’s ☕️ that take place each week in Sutton bridge, Long Sutton, Holbeach, Lutton, and Spalding.
These friendly coffee mornings are open to everyone 👥 and are a great place to socialise 🗣️ whilst meeting new people.

Details of all four groups are as follows:

☕️ Lutton -
Lutton Village Hall
2nd & 4th Mondays 10am - 12noon

☕️Spalding -
Project St. Thomas, St Thomas's Road, Spalding
Every Tuesday 10am - 12noon

☕️ Holbeach -
All Saints Church, Church Street, Holbeach
Every Wednesday 10am

☕️ Sutton Bridge -
The Curlew Centre
Every Friday 9:30am – 11:30am

☕️ Long Sutton-
St Marys Church Hall
Every Friday 9:30am – 12noon

With Christmas fast approaching, we are looking forward to our Secret Santa appeal 🎅

This year we are asking local community groups and businesses if they would like join our appeal by holding their own collections.

So far the following groups have pledged to organise a collection:

• Holbeach United Academy & Holbeach United Football Club
• Moulton Wellbeing Walk
• Peterborough United Foundation
• Long Sutton Library
• GBSG
• Worldwide Fruit Ltd

🎁 At Lincolnshire Co-op, we believe everyone deserves to experience the joy of Christmas. That's why our annual Secret Santa Campaign supports local food banks, toy appeals and sanitary product appeals, helping individuals and families who may be struggling during the festive season.

We don't want to do this alone. We're inviting local businesses, organisations and community groups to join us as Secret Santa's and help support those most in need across our communities.

How you can help:

🎁 Host a collection point for colleagues, customers or service users to donate items.

🎁 Donate items directly. These can be dropped off at one of our branches, or we can arrange collection.

🎁 Help raise awareness by promoting the campaign and the local groups being supported.

By working together, we can make Christmas magical for so many more families this year.

📚 This summer, a wonderful 59 children challenged themselves to read 6 books as part of our Summer Reading Challenge at our Holbeach Library.

At random, 3 lucky children won a prize to say well done for their efforts 🥇 🥈 🥉

Last Wednesday myself and 6️⃣ colleagues joined the lovely Crowland in Bloom team to help with the Ros Knight Garden & Pavillion areas.

The team worked hard at the Ros Knight Garden to clear weeds, Prune back the trees and plants 🌱 and then lay membrane and fresh bark.

We then moved on to the Pavillion area which was over grown and in need of some tlc 🌳🍃
Everyone worked hard to cut back the bushes and remove unwanted weeds and plants.

Huge thanks to the Crowland in Bloom 🌷 team for having us and a huge thanks to our Lincolnshire Co-op colleagues from both Crowland foodstore and Wygate foodstore (Spalding) for their effort and for helping make life better in our communities.
