What a 24 hours! 💚
We're still buzzing from the Care Show Birmingham, and honestly, our hearts are full.
Hannah had the privilege of taking to the stage to talk about The Business Case for Sustainable Homecare: how going greener can save providers money, help keep contracts and give you the edge. Making care sustainable is the reason Grace Cares exists, so seeing a room full of providers leaning in, asking questions and making pledges meant the world. A special thank you to the lovely Ann Taylor for your support and for making your 100 day pledge. 🌱
Then came a moment we didn't see coming. James Burgan from Attis Care stopped Hannah and, completely off the cuff, offered to donate £10 to Grace Cares for every care provider that sends in their current insurance policy for review. No obligation, you can stay in your contract, and we get £10 towards our mission. How good is that?! Thank you James, that's what the care community is all about. 🙏
We were also so proud to see our corporate sponsors MED e-care reveal their brand new look. Bold, bright and full of heart, just like the team behind it. Their eMAR cuts paper and waste and gives carers more time for what matters most, and we're proud to stand alongside them.
And then... Care Sector's Got Talent. 🌟
Hannah was back on the judging panel, and what a night it was. A blind pianist who held the whole room in the palm of his hand. A comedian who had us in stitches. A saxophone performance that gave us goosebumps. A rapper whose "I'm a Carer" said more about this sector than any speech ever could. A vocal performance so polished it sounded like a record. And that's just a few!
Every single one of those acts is someone who turns up day in, day out to care for others. Last night they got the spotlight they so deserve, and we had tears in our eyes more than once. 💚
