We were so pleased to welcome Andrea back this week, and she’s been busy delivering even more of her incredible worry worms! 🐛

This time, we were also able to provide Andrea with some fabric to support her creations, thanks to a generous donation from the Bamber Bridge Women's Shed. It’s wonderful to see the community coming together in such a thoughtful way.

Last night, two of our projects pitched for funding and we are thrilled that our Leyland Women's Refuge, Clare House, won the public vote and will be receiving £1,000 to refurbish their tired, rundown children's space into a multi-purpose activity room and sensory area.

Congratulations also go to another of our projects, The Base on Broadfield, who gave an engaging pitch involving a pantomime dame (oh yes they did!). They will be receiving £200 towards running their community pantomime.

Well done to everyone who pitched, it was a wonderful evening. Thank you to Progress Housing Group for creating a warm, welcoming and community-focused event.

What a fantastic evening listening to our shortlisted groups talk about all the ways they support our communities during our Soup Dragon’s Den.

Well done to the winners, Clare House Key Unlocking Futures, who will receive £1,000 from our Community Investment Fund to refurbish their children’s activity room.

Please note the following changes to our services over the Bank Holiday period:

🏠 Homelessness Drop‑In at Balfour Court
The Drop‑In service will be closed on Monday 25th May.
It will reopen as usual on Tuesday 26th May.

🏢 Main Office
Our main office will also be closed on Monday 25th.

💛 Domestic Abuse Support – Open 24/7
Our confidential domestic abuse helpline remains open as usual, 24 hours a day.

Our local Leyland branch of Santander has now closed and we wanted to take a moment to say "thank you".

Leyland Santander have been big supporters of Key through their community book stall. Their final donation to us was an amazing £126.

Thank you to all the staff and customers at Leyland Santander for your continued support and we are sad to see you leave our community.

Both roles are permanent, full-time (36.5 hours per week) and offer the chance to support individuals affected by domestic abuse and help create safer futures.
