We are hiring: Help children and young people build brighter futures

We're looking for a compassionate and skilled Children and Young People's Counsellor to join Key Unlocking Futures,

In this rewarding role, you'll provide short-term therapeutic support to children and young people across Lancashire, helping them improve emotional wellbeing, build resilience and move forward with confidence.

- Salary: £28,476 - £29,470 (pro rata)
- Agile working with travel across Lancashire
- Full-time or part-time hours considered
- 6-month contract with potential extension
- Supportive team and development opportunities

We had a wonderful time attending Leyland Festival on Saturday and were amazed by the scale of the event and the fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.

The festival was a real celebration of community spirit, bringing together local people, organisations and businesses in a way that truly showcased the best of Leyland. A huge well done to all the organisers whose hard work clearly made the day such a success.

We were proud to be based in the Park Hall Hotel and Spa Lancashire, a member of Radisson Individuals -sponsored tent and loved meeting so many people throughout the day. Our mascot, Keyleigh the Bunny, even made a special appearance and was a big hit with visitors!

Thank you to everyone involved in making the event so memorable. We’re already looking forward to next year.

What a night! 🎉

On Saturday, we attended the Spring North Awards at the One Voice Blackburn Awards Dinner at The Exchange in Blackburn, and we’re thrilled (and still a bit amazed!) to have been chosen as winners of both the Impact Award and the Not-for-Profit Award.

For over 30 years, Key Unlocking Futures has been supporting people across Lancashire, helping those affected by domestic abuse, homelessness, and mental health challenges, while building stronger communities. Our mission has always been to help people build better lives, and to see the person, not the problem.

These awards belong to our incredible teams who give their all every day, the people we support, and those who may be thinking about reaching out for help for the first time. As we continue to grow, it means so much to know our work is making a difference.

While major sporting events bring communities together, they can also be a difficult time for some people.
