DFN Project Search - South Ribble DFN Project SEARCH programme provides Supported Internships to young people with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions.

The programme provides real-life work experience combined with training in employability and life skills. The DFN Project SEARCH programme consistently delivers the best employment outcomes for students with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions. The goal for each participant is competitive employment. The programme provides real-life work experience combined with training in empl

oyability and independent-living skills to help young people make successful transitions to productive adult life. The Project SEARCH model involves an extensive period of skills training and career exploration, innovative adaptations, long-term job coaching, and continuous feedback from instructors, job coaches and employers. Through a series of three targeted internships within our host business Progress Housing Group, the interns acquire competitive, marketable and transferable skills to enable them to apply for a related post.
