Wensleydale Rotary

Wensleydale Rotary Our members come from a variety of backgrounds, including farming, banking, business, education, and health.

Our members live in various parts of Wensleydale, within a radius of about 15 miles from the market town of Leyburn, where we usually meet at The Leyburn Arts and Community Centre on alternate Monday evenings at 7.30pm. All enjoy the fun and friendship that Rotary offers, while also helping their own communities and those farther afield. Wensleydale Rotary is committed to local community service

and involvement, especially promoting ethical and sustainable projects. Calling on the many decades of our members’ experience in Wensleydale, we bring a unique mix of local expertise and organising skill to our efforts. We meet on alternate Mondays at 8pm at The Leyburn Arts and Community Centre near the church. All are welcome to come along and see what our club does, and new ideas for our efforts are always welcome ! To join us at any event or meeting please call 01969 623624 for further details

The Charity Fashion Show we held at Leyburn Arts and Community Centre at The Old School House with fashions from Puzzle Boutique was a huge success

Thank you to all that came, many thanks too to our models and of course thank you to Julie.

Profits from the evening will go to help fund the Wensleydale Young Musician Competition which takes place in November supported by BlueBoxt Creative and Performing Arts

🎶👗 Charity Fashion Show – Supporting Young Musical Talent 👗🎶

Join us for a fabulous evening of fashion, fun and fundraising on **Monday 8th June 2026** at the **Leyburn Arts & Community Centre**.

🕖 Doors open: 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start
🎟️ Tickets: £10 per person
🥂 Includes one complimentary drink and nibbles

This special event is being held in aid of the **Wensleydale Young Musician Competition**, helping to support and encourage talented young musicians in our community.

The fashions on display will be provided by **Puzzle Boutique, Leyburn**, and audience members will have the opportunity to purchase many of the items showcased on the night.

🏃‍♂️ Get Your Running Shoes On for the James Herriot Trail Race! 🏃‍♀️

Entries are now open for one of Yorkshire's most scenic trail races!

Join us on Sunday 26 July 2026 for the James Herriot Trail Race, a spectacular 14km route across stunning moorland tracks and paths near Bolton Castle. We are grateful to Lord Bolton for kindly granting permission for this event to take place on the estate.

📍 Location: Start and finish field adjacent to Bolton Castle
🏃 Route: Traffic-free, fully marshalled, and suitable for runners seeking a memorable trail-running challenge

Organised by Wensleydale Rotary Club under UK Athletics rules, with all proceeds supporting local and international Rotary charities.
