PLEASE COME TO THE PROTEST AGAINST CLOSING THE PHOENIX CENTRE, Saturday 12 October, 12.45pm, outside the Phoenix Centre itself.
There's a proposal by the East Sussex Council to close the Phoenix Centre in Lewes.
This is a hugely valued community resource. It provides companionship and support for those that need care and for the carers themselves. It has a positive impact it has had on countless individuals, and we can’t afford to lose it.
It also happens to be where we record for the Talking Post every week.
The Centre has only just had a new roof and solar panels, and it doesn't make any sense to close it!
