Well, I'm not sure our work will be shown in the National Gallery, however we all learned how different our styles are whilst following the exact same instructions! Really enjoyed the serenity of painting today, it's very calming even though we still had some great banter. Tricia at 'It's Easel if you try' was a patient teacher.

Yesterday, we enjoyed a good trip to Nymans NT Gardens in Handcross. The rain didn't stop us and the sun even shone for a short while. After a quick tour we had refreshments and enjoyed some good banter as always. Thank you National Trust Nymans and our tour guides. The photos are a collection from some of the villagers attending. So looking forward to our monthly walk this Tues 21st April 2026, the weather is looking good next week. Meet at 11am at the Holmbush Inn Faygate RH12 4SH. It will be a gentle, mainly flat walk (with a couple of slopes) around the lovely lake at Durrants Village. Option for a longer walk across the fields. returning to the Holmbush Inn for refreshments. Do join us - all welcome!

🧏‍♀️Living with Hearing Loss Monday 23rd March 6.30-7.30pm. 🧏‍♂️

We are delighted to be welcoming Citizens Advice to this months Living with Hearing Loss Group. Who will be sharing practical advice on a range of issues including benefits, debt, housing and energy costs. If this is something you would like to learn more about, please come along. They can also arrange 1:1 support to help navigate what can sometimes feel like complex systems. We look forward to welcoming you to this inclusive group, where everyone can hear and receive practical help.

📍 Getting there Durrants Village is a gated community, so please park at the Faygate Village Shop car park. We’ll be there to meet you and guide you to the meeting room.

Stunning birdlife this spring at the reserve! Please join us at this local gem for a gentle led walk around Warnham Nature Reserve near Horsham RH12 2RA . Tues 17th March at 11am. Pathways are solid but with light mud. Refreshments afterwards, please bring any substantial food along as the Cafe just has basics. Meet by the pond area just at the Entrance, Car parking is free. A £4.20 entrance fee is charged to enter the reserve. The walk is accessible. Sorry No dogs are allowed on this walk. Do call us if transport is an issue. 🚍 Quick Travel Survey – Your Voice Matters 🚍

We’re gathering views about travel and transport across Colgate, Faygate & Rusper. The survey is short and completely anonymous, with the more people who complete it, the stronger the evidence we’ll have.

The data will help us lobby the council for improvements (e.g. safer crossings on the A264, better public transport) and apply for community funding and grants when they become available.

Come join us for our Villagers Connect gentle walk at the Mill ponds on Tues 24th Feb at 11am. Meet on the corner of Collins Road and Waterfield Gardens RH11 6BS. It might be weather for Ducks (which we hope to see lots of) but it gets us out and about. See you there! 🦆
