A great start to Christmas at the East Sussex Foster Children’s Christmas party in Eastbourne. With a generous donation from Tescos and support from the Eastbourne Soroptimists we, Lewes Soroptimists, provided and helped the foster children from 30 families select and wrap presents for their foster parents to take home and put under their Christmas tree.
Happy Christmas everyone and here’s hoping for peace.

Meryl Moore, will be joining us to talk about her experience as a woman with a new start-up business and her years working in the NHS critical care unit.
Meryl will be bringing her delicious cakes for us to enjoy with refreshments.

With the newly formed Lewes for Palestine group today reading out the names of children killed in Gaza since Oct 7th. Different people reading names from 9.30 am to 4pm was only a small portion of the number of children killed. Very emotional vigil.

The Lewes club stand at the Societies Fair this morning. So many clubs and societies in this wonderful town.
