We have some important and exciting news to share 💛
Lewes House of Friendship has officially merged with Age UK East Sussex.

For our members and visitors, the most important thing to say is that nothing is changing day-to-day. We will continue to open every weekday from our home on Lewes High Street, offering the same warm welcome, activities and freshly cooked lunches that have been at the heart of our community for over 50 years.

By joining with Age UK East Sussex, we are strengthening our future and ensuring we can continue supporting older people in Lewes for many years to come. This partnership gives us access to wider support and resources, while keeping the House of Friendship exactly as you know and love it.

We’re proud of our history and excited about what comes next.

Thank you to everyone who continues to be part of our community

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak to the team.

Join us for a fascinating talk about the history of Lewes Bus Station. Monday October 27th @ 10.30am.

Ruth Thomson (editor of Grown in Lewes, a book about all things green in the town) is researching the history of the bus station, with the aim of producing a celebratory book. She will be giving an illustrated talk about her findings.

If you remember taking daily or weekly buses from this local hub, going on trips to London or the races, taking coach excursions to places of interest or eating in the bus station’s upstairs cafe, she would welcome hearing about your experiences.

All Welcome.

We’re very excited to be hosting a yoga class for those in the golden chapter of life.
This welcoming, supportive session offers slow, intentional movement that supports balance, strength, and mobility — all done through chair and standing-based postures.

This calming class will include mindful movement, gentle breathwork, and guided meditation, helping you cultivate greater ease in both body and mind. We will end with restorative practices and guided relaxation, leaving you feeling refreshed, centred, and deeply at ease.

Whether you’re new to yoga or returning to your practice, Golden Soul Yoga invites you to come as you are, move at your own pace and connect with a warm, welcoming group of seasoned souls.
