Through their hands-on approach and fantastic teaching methods, they help participants build skills, explore new opportunities and broaden their horizons! 🔨✨

Are you ready for things to get real spooky down at River Park this Halloween!? 🎃🌟

We have two Halloween walking tours planned with our brilliant tour guide, Matt Pointon! 👻

Our 10.30am tour is a family-friendly Halloween walk through the woods of River Park, taking you all the way to the haunted Methil Mill! Hear tales of ghosts and ghouls that are suitable for all ages. 🐈‍⬛🌙

Then, on our 4.30pm tour, you’ll discover the darker side of Methil Mill and learn about some of the park’s scariest inhabitants! Big kids, beware! 🦉✨ We recommend this tour for ages 12 and over.

We will also be giving away a Halloween surprise for everyone who comes along in fancy dress!! (a good surprise… we promise 😝)

🌿 FREE WORKSHOP with our Resident Artist Katie Fowlie!

Come along to the River Park and explore nature through colour, texture, plants and natural materials.

You’ll get the chance to make botanical inks, prints and rubbings, while helping Katie build a living archive of the River Park as part of her Artist in Residence project. ✨

No experience needed ~ just curiosity and a willingness to have a go! 🎨 🌱 (suitable for ages 8+)

More exceptional finds at the Methil Mill site in the River Park! 🍾😍✨

Paula, one of the current participants in our Archaeology and Heritage Employability Project, has discovered a fantastic piece of a late 18th- or early 19th-century w**e bottle.🍷

She's absolutely chuffed! ❤️ We can't help but wonder what kind of w**e it was… 🤭

We're building up quite the collection now, and we're so excited to showcase our finds at our next Methil Mill Open Day on Saturday 31st October! 🎃🗝️

Past River Park Community Fund Winner: Bat's Wood Growing Space 🦇

We thought we’d share some of the fantastic past winners of our River Park Community Fund to give you an idea of the types of projects we’ve supported! 🌟

Bat's Wood is a volunteer-run community woodland and growing space, located on the former playing field land behind Levenmouth Academy, between Buckhaven and Methil. 🌳

It’s a great example of how the River Park Community Fund can help support local projects and create spaces for people and nature to thrive. 💚

Another very exciting find at Methil Mill in the River Park! 🤩🌿

During our community excavation at the weekend, some of our participants uncovered a mill stone on the site! 🪏

The mill stone was much bigger than we expected and was also found in a different location from where we thought it would be. This suggests it may have been repurposed at some point over the years. ✨

How amazing is this?! We love seeing new and exciting archaeology being uncovered on this site, and we can’t wait to piece together more of its fascinating past. 🗝️🏺

A huge well done to everyone involved in the excavation! 👏
