Criftins Play Project

🛝 We’re nearly there! 💚

A huge thank you to all the local businesses and individuals who have supported the Criftins Play Area project so far. We’re incredibly grateful for every donation and for everyone who has helped spread the word.

We’re getting closer to our fundraising goal, but still have a little way to go. As you can imagine, good-quality playground equipment isn’t cheap!

If any local businesses or individuals would still like to support us, even the smallest donation can make a real difference. There’s absolutely no pressure - every bit of support is simply very much appreciated.

You can donate through our GoFundMe page here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/crifftins-play-project or get in touch with us directly.

Thank you for helping us get this far - we’re getting closer! 🌳🛝💚

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello at the The Leintwardine Centre First Saturday this morning. It's a beautiful day to be chatting about playground plans ☀😎☀.

We're still in the fundraising stages and waiting for Herefordshire Council to legally transfer ownership of the playground to Leintwardine Parish Council - with that completed, we'll really be able to get moving. Watch this space for more updates.

Yes… we’re fundraising! When we first started looking into playground improvements, we were amazed at the cost of even relatively small pieces of equipment and surfacing.

Funding from Herefordshire Council and Leintwardine Parish Council will help, but there is still a gap between the available funding and the cost of creating a safe, long-lasting and well-designed play space.

That’s why we’ve launched a GoFundMe to help support the project. We’re committed to reusing existing equipment where possible and making thoughtful choices about any new additions, so that the playground works well for children, families and nearby residents alike.

Every donation, large or small, will help move the project forward, and sharing the fundraiser is just as valuable. We're grateful to everyone that has already made a donation or shared with their friends. 🥰

🧍‍♀️🧍Community Consultation 🧍‍♀️🧍Please like and share

Thank you to everyone who has already shared feedback about the Criftins playground, both online and in person at the First Saturday community event.

We know people use the space in lots of different ways. Some families would like more play opportunities for toddlers or older children, while others value the open space for football and want to make sure the area doesn’t become overcrowded.

All of those views are important and are exactly why we’re carrying out a full community consultation before making any decisions.

Our aim is not to fill every inch of space with equipment, but to look carefully at how the playground can be improved, made safer, and made more useful for the community overall.

If you haven’t yet completed the survey, there’s still time 👉👉👉https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe9xoRJ2bT-KfpWepmCTqw8HGy4Yn5A-POQlrXUs_ef9OZ7Ig/viewform
