Some of these volunteers have been with us from the very beginning. πŸ’œ

A huge congratulations and thank you to:

Friends of Spectrum Spotlight! πŸ’œ

This week we've been celebrating the amazing volunteers who support our classes, but we'd also like to shine a spotlight on the people working behind the scenes... Our Friends of Spectrum! 🌟

Friends of Spectrum launched at the end of last year, bringing together parents, carers and community members who want to support Spectrum through fundraising, events and sharing skills and ideas.

The impact of this group is already being felt across Spectrum. From sourcing generous donations and prizes to bringing creative and inspiring ideas for future fundraisers, our Friends have gone above and beyond. They’ve supported at events, baked delicious cakes for us, and even run their own fundraising activities.

We're so grateful to all 15 members who have joined so far. Your enthusiasm, kindness and support help make Spectrum possible.

Thank you for everything you do! πŸ’œ

Interested in getting involved? We'd love to hear from you.

What a fantastic afternoon at the Volunteers' Week Celebration! βœ¨πŸ’œ

We had a brilliant time meeting so many people, sharing what Spectrum Community Arts is all about, and chatting to people interested in volunteering and making a difference in their community.

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and performers who joined us and represented Spectrum so brilliantly throughout the event. πŸŽπŸ’œ

It was wonderful to connect with other local organisations, celebrate the incredible contribution volunteers make, and be part of such a positive community event.

And of course, our performers did an amazing job on stage! We are so proud of you all. 🌟

Thank you to Community Action: MK for creating the event.
What a lovely way to celebrate Volunteers' Week! πŸ’œ

IT'S TIME TO SAY THANK YOU βœ¨πŸ’œ

It's Volunteers' Week, and we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible people who make Spectrum possible.

Our volunteers bring energy, kindness, creativity, patience, encouragement and so much fun to our sessions every single week. They help our participants shine, build confidence, make friendships and discover a love of the performing arts.

Quite simply...

πŸ’œ We couldn't do it without them.
πŸ’œ Spectrum wouldn't be Spectrum without them.

Whether they're supporting in classes, helping at events, fundraising, cheering participants on, or lending a hand behind the scenes, every volunteer makes a real difference.

This Volunteers' Week, we'd love your help to show them just how appreciated they are.

πŸ’œβœ¨ HAPPY VOLUNTEERS' WEEK! βœ¨πŸ’œ

At Spectrum, we're taking this week to celebrate the incredible people who make this organisation what it is... our AMAZING volunteers! πŸŽ‰

Volunteers' Week has been recognising and thanking volunteers across the UK since 1984. For more than 40 years, it has highlighted the amazing contribution volunteers make to charities, organisations and communities.

At Spectrum, we know first-hand just how important volunteers are.
Quite simply, Spectrum would not be Spectrum without you.

This weekend we held our annual Volunteers' Party and what a night it was so much fun! πŸ’œ
We had...
🌟 A purple carpet 🌟 Fabulous volunteers (despite the 27° heat!) 🌟 Delicious food and cake 🌟 Singing, dancing and party games 🌟 Our annual Volunteer Awards 🌟 A few tears as we said goodbye to our amazing Volunteer Coordinator, Dixie 🌟 Lots of laughter

After the awards? We did what Spectrum does best... we danced! πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί Volunteers requested their favourite Spectrum routines, we sang our hearts out, played games and had an amazing time together.

A huge thank you to Recreation Rooms for hosting us, to Graham for hosting the awards and to our wonderful parent carers who donated food, drinks, cakes and helped us decorate and set up.

To every volunteer who gives their time, energy, enthusiasm and kindness to Spectrum: thank you. You help create life-changing opportunities for our participants every single week, and we appreciate you more than words can say. πŸ’œ

If reading this has inspired you to get involved, we'd love to hear from you!
