Hi,

Here at Leigh Neighbours we take a keen interest in the health of our local community - we know that Leigh residents aren't as healthy as their peers in the North West or the rest of the country.

We don't want to be preachy about it but we heard this on Radio Four this morning and thought it was worth sharing.

In the past we've tried to set up a walking group for local people without any great success. However, if anyone is interested in having another bash we'd be glad to hear from them. It doesn't need to be hiking boots and big hills. A stroll around local streets can give many health benefits...anything is better than nothing.

PS...we're planning our next Dr. Bike session too, we're hoping to run it sometime in the w/c 28 September, look out for a Fb post here.
