Hi,

This is our last Dr. Bike of the year...we thought we'd pull it forward - it's usually in late October - to give people more chances to ride before the colder weather and dark nights arrive.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Hi,

Here at Leigh Neighbours we take a keen interest in the health of our local community - we know that Leigh residents aren't as healthy as their peers in the North West or the rest of the country.

We don't want to be preachy about it but we heard this on Radio Four this morning and thought it was worth sharing.

In the past we've tried to set up a walking group for local people without any great success. However, if anyone is interested in having another bash we'd be glad to hear from them. It doesn't need to be hiking boots and big hills. A stroll around local streets can give many health benefits...anything is better than nothing.

PS...we're planning our next Dr. Bike session too, we're hoping to run it sometime in the w/c 28 September, look out for a Fb post here.

Drs Chris and Xand van Tulleken explore what walking can do for our health.
