The Lancashire Wildlife Trust team were working on The Spit at Pennington Flash today, part of the Flashes of Wigan and Leigh NNR, with support from Wigan Councill, the team at Pennington Flash and Leigh Ornithological Society. Volunteers. Scrub removal works were carried out which will provide opportunities for breeding waders and ground-nesting species. Wigan Greenheart Landscape Recovery, Visit Greenheart - well done all of those involved
