Jumbulance Trust

Jumbulance Trust 25 years of joyful adventures! Our unique Jumbulances securely accommodate multiple wheelchairs or beds for travel.

As a charity, we fundraise to maintain coaches and subsidise trip costs. Our goal: to keep making magical memories for all onboard. The Jumbulance Trust exists to make it possible for severely disabled and unwell adults, children and dependent elderly people to travel on holidays and day outings which for most would be well nigh impossible by air, rail, standard coach or any other means. You can h

ire a Jumbulance to take a party to see local places of interest or maybe disabled supporters of your favourite sports club to watch a match or sporting event. You can hire a Jumbulance for a longer period, perhaps to take a group on a ten day holiday, or pilgrimage to paces all over mainly Europe, as far as Poland, Austria and Italy. With all the special facilities in a Jumbulance you can travel safely and in comfort all day and throughout the night subject to EU Regulations, with no need even to leave the Jumbulance when crossing the Channel, if your disability or illness makes it inappropriate to do so.

From sandy toes and seaside paddles to laughter, music and meaningful conversations, our Herts Jumbulance Group West Cork trip was full of special moments.

We were delighted to have our Founder and Honorary Life President, Kathryn Salvesen MBE, join the journey. A perfect reminder of how Jumbulance continues to be a lifeline, bringing people together in the most joyful way.

Overlaid text reads: “A truly welcoming experience and wonderful company throughout – Jumbulance continues to be a vital lifeline for so many, creating special memories and meaningful connections.” – Kathryn Salvesen MBE. Carers Week 2026 - Building Carer Friendly Communities

This Carers Week, we recognise the vital role carers play, every single day.

We’re proud to support carers by providing opportunities for respite, where our volunteers take on caring roles during trips. This allows carers the chance to take a well-earned break, knowing their loved one is in safe and supportive hands.

By working together, we help build more carer friendly communities, where carers feel supported and valued.

Through this support, those we travel with are able to experience special moments and lasting memories.

Thank you for everything you do.

Every story is different, but each one reflects the same passion for making a difference.

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers, we couldn’t do it without you.

If this inspires you to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.

Highlights of their trip included a nostalgic journey on the Swanage Railway steam train, travelling from Swanage to Corfe Castle, exploring the fascinating Tank Museum at Bovington and the beautiful Kingston Lacy National Trust estate as well as getting up close with wildlife at Monkey World.

And of course, no trip would be complete without a little retail therapy, with time enjoyed on a shopping spree in Bournemouth!

Another musical day for The Jumbulance Trust! A huge thank you to Joan for organising such a fabulous event in Swindon, and to all of our amazing volunteers who give their time to spread the word and help more people get involved. The more people The Trust can reach and support, the greater the difference we can make together.

[Reel description: The video pans from left to right, beginning with a choir of women dressed in navy singing in the sunshine. It then moves to a view of The Jumbulance in the town centre, surrounded by trees, before ending with the Allied Mobility sponsorship logo displayed on the rear of the coach.]
