Happy Vaisakhi from Seva Circle! 🧡

Wishing a joyful and blessed Vaisakhi to everyone celebrating today. May this special day bring you new beginnings, renewed hope, and the strength to continue serving and uplifting those around us.

What is Vaisakhi?
Vaisakhi marks one of the most important days in the Sikh calendar. It celebrates the birth of the Khalsa in 1699, when Guru Gobind Singh Ji formalised the Sikh community with the values of courage, equality, and selfless service. It’s also a traditional harvest festival, symbolising gratitude, abundance, and the start of a new season.

From all of us at Seva Circle, we honour the spirit of Vaisakhi by continuing our commitment to compassion, unity, and helping those in need within our community.

At Seva Circle, we believe that small acts of kindness can create lasting impact 🧡

Last term, we were proud to collaborate with Falcons to support the Toast Tuesday initiative—providing bread and butter for students to ensure they start their day with breakfast. Because when students are fueled, they can focus, learn, and thrive in the classroom.

This effort was made even more special with the help of my two sons, whose eagerness and support truly embodied the spirit of giving. Seeing their enthusiasm reminded me that compassion begins at home and grows into community.

Seva Circle remains committed to being at the forefront of local initiatives, supporting individuals with care, dignity, and purpose across our community.

Together, we can make a difference—one breakfast, one smile, one act of kindness at a time.

Seva Circle recently had the privilege of supporting the Peace Centre as part of their incredible Foodbank initiative 🧡

In 2025 alone, they provided an amazing 135,407 meals to those in need — and for 2026, 4,446 food parcels have already been allocated. This truly reflects the scale of their impact and dedication to the community.

We had the opportunity to speak with volunteers, helping to distribute food while also listening to the stories of those accessing the service. It was a deeply humbling and eye-opening experience.

A special thank you to Hameeda for sharing insight into the wonderful work being done — it was inspiring to see such compassion and commitment in action.

We’re grateful to have been part of this and look forward to continuing to support such a fantastic organisation. 🧡

Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating 🌙✨

Proud to have collaborated with Wesley Hall in supporting their local food pantry, which was initiated to address food poverty in the Highfields and Spinney Hills community.

The pantry is part of a wider community centre offering vital services including mental health support, education, and social activities — creating a safe and supportive space for local residents.

During our visit, we spoke with members, who shared deeper insights into the challenges faced by the Highfields community and the importance of initiatives like this.

At Seva Circle, we’re honoured to work alongside organisations that are making a real difference and strengthening communities. 🤝 🧡💙

Amazing to spend time with a true pillar of the community, the wonderful Sunny George from All Saints Church Humberstone

It was an absolute honour to support the incredible work they do through their food bank.

Sadly, the growing number of people in need means resources are constantly stretched, and many are still left without the essentials they deserve.

That’s where Seva Circle stepped in — providing vital supplies to help bridge that gap and bring a little relief to those struggling.

But beyond the support, what truly stayed with us was the conversation. Listening, learning, and understanding the real challenges on the ground was both humbling and inspiring. The dedication, compassion, and selfless service shown here is something truly special.

Seva Circle would like to thank every single supporter who makes this possible. Because of you, we are not just helping — we are making real, meaningful differences in people’s lives 🧡🤍

Together, we rise. Together, we serve. 🙏

From an idea to reality 🧡

Thank you for the incredible love, support, and encouragement — we couldn’t have done this without you.

We’re gearing up for a busy few months ahead. Supporting those in difficulty is at the core of what we do, and this is just the beginning.

Today we had the pleasure of volunteering alongside Councillor Diane Cank, and what an amazing day it was.

Through our networking, we connected with Diane at the Northfield Food Centre, where she volunteers tirelessly.

Together, we identified what the local food bank was lacking and what items were most needed. We were able to hand out food parcels, hear many powerful stories, and truly enjoyed every moment of the day.

Diane is a true pillar of the community, working nonstop to support local residents.

Thank you, Diane, for everything you do!

It was raining, cold, and uncomfortable… but we still showed up. 🌧️

Today we handed out most of our survival kits, but what mattered most weren’t the items — it was the conversations. We listened to stories filled with pain, loss, and resilience. Stories that don’t get heard nearly enough.

These are human beings. Not statistics. Not labels. Just people who are too often ignored, judged, and made to feel invisible. For many, being seen and listened to meant everything. A simple conversation reminded them they still matter.

Seva Circle does not discriminate. We stand for compassion, dignity, and humanity, and we will continue this mission no matter the weather.

Please like and subscribe to stay up to date with our journey. Thank you to every supporter and to the National Lottery Grant Fund — your support helps us reach hearts, not just hands. 🧡🤍
