Our book club, Out in Print, will meet on Tuesday 18th August (6-8pm) at the Trade office.

This month we are reading Left Hand of Darkness, by Ursula K. LeGuin.

If you enjoy reading come along and chat about the book and the themes it throws up for us. Don't worry if you haven't read any or all of the book, you're still welcome to join in.

As Loughborough Pride is happening on the 22nd August, this social will provide you with materials to make your own banner/poster to bring to Loughborough Pride! You are welcome to bring you own cardboard or art supplies if you wish.

This month's meeting of NeuroQueer - our social group for minds of all kinds - is on Tuesday 11 August 2026, starting at 6pm at the Trade office.

As it is the last session before Leicester Pride Official we'll have craft supplies available so you can make posters, placards and banners for Pride, if you want to.

We'll probably chat about our current special interests while we craft.

As ever, participation is optional, and just being alongside the group is fine!

All Trade’s services remain trans inclusive.

The new Code of Practice comes into effect today.

We believe this Code of Practice is discriminatory and will have a negative impact on the safety and wellbeing of trans and gender non-conforming people.

We remain committed to delivering trans inclusive services.

You can find a full summary and guidance on the EHRC Code of Practice from (https://transactual.org.uk/know-your-rights/).

It is important to remember that you can still:

1 – Decide to not tell a service provider what your assigned s*x at birth is, if they ask for it

2 – Seek to use the services that are right for you, including those provided by a specific ‘s*x’

3 – Use an accessible toilet

4 – Insist that you have access to a facility that maintains your safety and dignity

A walk for trans pride - Sat 8th August
As part of the Trans* Thriving project at Trade we are doing a walk in the park for trans* pride at Brocks Hill Country Park. Bring a picnic

Join Trans* Thriving and Trade with for a walk in the park for trans* pride!

When: 8th August, 12-2pm, meeting outside Jennos Cafe

Where: Brocks Hill Country Park, Leicester

Come and enjoy time and space to celebrate trans* pride and trans* health. Walk together through Brocks Hill Country Park guided by trans* inclusive personal trainer , and join us as a way to mark trans* pride together. Feel free to bring games to play and a picnic to eat after also!

The route is all path, with gravel/rocks and is roughly 2km in length and follows a figure of eight pattern. Please do let us know your access need ahead of the walk and we will do our best to accommodate everyone.

Stigma can often be harder to deal with than the virus itself, but kindness and support can change everything.

At TRADE, our peer support team is made up of people with lived experience- we truly understand what you are going through.

You are more than a diagnosis.
With Treatment, HIV cannot be passed on
