Today, the Freemasons of the Province of Yorkshire, West Riding set off on their annual holiday. In partnership with Yorkshire Airlines, they chartered an Airbus A380—aptly named the “Jeremy Clarkson”—for a unique tour of their home county.

Departing from Leeds Bradford Airport at 9 a.m., they completed four leisurely circuits of Yorkshire before landing at 3 p.m., where, in true fashion, they presented their Yorkshire Passports to re-enter their beloved county.

Provincial Grand Master James Newman commented: “We couldn’t think of anywhere better to go for our holidays, so we decided to take in a few laps of Leeds and finish with a view over the Yorkshire Dales.”

Albert Hebblethwaite, CEO of Yorkshire Airlines, added: “The Freemasons have very particular dietary requirements—tomato soup, roast beef with Yorkshire puddings, followed by bread and butter pudding. Serving 500 passengers simultaneously so they could begin their speeches and return home at a respectable hour was no small feat, but we’re pleased to say everyone left satisfied.”

When asked about next year’s destination, James Newman replied simply: “Yorkshire.”
