Last week something truly lovely happened across our supported living flats. Karen from the Central Co-op and Tim, a volunteer with the National Forest, joined us to plant vegetables and flowers in the beautiful raised beds they generously donated to our charity - handcrafted by the talented team at the Co-op’s own workshop as part of Big Green Week. 🌿🌳

With all this sunshine (and the odd downpour!), we’ll soon have tomatoes, herbs, lettuce and other veggies growing - and everyone in the flats will be able to help themselves and help them grow. 🌱🌞

A huge thank you to Karen and Tim for helping our community flourish.

Today we visited Lucky Tails Alpaca Farm for a special meerkat feeding experience 🐾🌿

We had an amazing time watching them play, climb, and show off their curious personalities!

Experiences like this are a great way to connect, unwind, and support positive wellbeing 💙

Last week Vicky attended the Investors in People Central England celebration event at the Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club - It was a lovely opportunity to catch up with our assessor, Lynn and to meet people from other organisations who, like Norton Housing and Support, have achieved the Investors in People accreditation this year. Following an insightful keynote speech from Petra Velzboer and a panel discussion, we were treated to a delicious lunch.

Thank you very much to the Investors in People Community.

Sometimes the hardest part of the day is feeling like you’re facing it alone. Our Personal Assistants offer emotional support, a listening ear and reassurance when things feel heavy. 🩷💚

As one client shared: ‘Just being told that how you’re feeling is okay, taught me that I am okay.’

📱 We’re proud to support Freeva’s Old Phone, New Lifeline campaign.

For someone fleeing abuse, a safe mobile phone can be more than just a device - it can be a lifeline. It can provide access to support services, emergency help, and a way to stay connected when it matters most.

If you have an unused, working smartphone, please consider donating it to Freeva and help someone take an important step towards safety and independence.

❤️ Give the gift of communication. Give the gift of safety.
